what we do

THIS IS NOT 'CREATIVE WRITING' AS YOU KNOW IT!

It’s my son’s favourite part of the week, and it has been wonderful to see the

happiness it brings him, and the extra confidence it has given him in writing!

- Katie, year 2 parent

We are about getting pen to paper, making mistakes and being super free with our ideas and creations.

Plus having a LOT of fun in the process, of course!!

kids coaching

Building creative confidence is personal and not always straightforward. This can be tricky in a group setting, particularly if your child struggles with self-consciousness and anxiety.

We meet your child where they're at; helping open them up to curiosity, exploration and questioning, encouraging them to take creative risks and supporting them as they discover their own unique creative voice.

To discuss how we can help your child reach their creative potential, please enquire below.

"I'm just not creative"

SO many of us say this but the truth is, we all have creative potential - its in our very nature as humans. The key to accessing it, particularly if we have spent a lifetime thinking it wasn't available to us, isn't about learning to crochet or picking up a new instrument (though, by all means, go ahead if you fancy it!) - it's about really looking at what it means to be creative, working with the skills we already have and developing those we've been neglecting.

webinars

We know that it is our attitudes that determine the values our children live by.

If we want our children to grow up knowing that creativity is for them - which they absolutely MUST at a time of unprecedented change and economic insecurity - then we must work to create the environment necessary for its development.

These webinars provide clear, actionable tools to support your child's everyday creative development.

We discover...

  • how we find our inspiration (everyone is different!)

  • how character, setting & plot can help us understand key story-telling tools like identity, belonging & transformation

  • how story-making is about noticing patterns

  • how to use illustration as part of narrative

Asset 7.png

We use...

  • lots and lots and lots of blank paper in all formats

  • writing, drawing, doodling, colouring, sketching

  • Storytelling! Discussing our ideas and helping each other too!

  • our 'GO FOR IT' attitudes

our goal is...

To inspire children to continue making stories any time, any place, in whatever way works for them. Children need to experience writing and drawing in this fun, free, exploration way if we want them to continue independently - this is essential for true creative development

Henry has absolutely loved doing it with you- he comes home every Tuesday talking about how his story is developing!

Lisa, Year 2 parent

Thanks again for the work you’ve done with her this past term. We’ve really noticed an increase in her confidence and she’s enjoying her work a lot more.

Katie, Year 2 parent

It’s my son’s favourite part of the week, and it has been wonderful to see the happiness it brings him, and the extra confidence it has given him in writing.
